Music Teacher & Lesson Leeds
Interested in joining the Primavolta team?
We are currently looking to interview well qualified self employed music teachers in ALL AREAS OF THE UK!
Why join Primavolta?
We are an established and successful uniquely mobile music school, managed by an experienced mobile music teacher. We have no other staffing costs allowing us to remain competitive. Our Managing Director is still a music teacher and has been teaching for 15 years. He also has vast classroom experience at both primary and secondary level. Primavolta has been operating in this way for 10 years.
You are paid well by the hour with a London weighting provided if based in the Greater London area.
We have our own bespoke admin and booking system. Bookings get to teachers within seconds of coming in to us through our bespoke software. This increases the chance of you gaining work over the competiition. Our admin system makes keeping student records up-to-date very easy.
We rank highly in Google searches due to the hard work put in to the SEO on this website. The SEO is targeted at new teachers when they join to give the best possible chance of finding you work. This saves you the time and money in self marketing (leaflets, newspaper adverts and Yellow Pages).
We offer teaching and general support to all teachers through an experienced teacher. Support can range from lesson planning to support with collection of monies. You can access this on request if you feel you need that extra bit of support. Sometimes just needing to talk to someone who understands is all that is needed. We can support you with this.
You don't need to worry about the time and hassle in setting up your own pupil terms and conditions. You can just use ours! We will support you in this. Our terms and conditions have been developed over a number of years and support you in building a stable student base. They are emailed to new students when they are confirmed by you on our online admin system. They are also printed inside the pupil playing diary to remind the bill payer.
You will receive annual pay rises in line with the rest of the school and you will be given the newsletters to inform your students. This takes the difficult conversation of telling students that fees are going up away from you.
You gain access to all the resources on this website to support your lesson planning and teaching. Resources such as theory worksheets and sheet music are developed in house and are being added all the time.
You will have the opportunity to share resources with other teachers through the student area of our website. This allows you to take less time to plan your music lessons through sharing good work.
You are still self employed. You can decide your own hours and how much or how little work you take on. Just let us know! We can change your status to full in the admin area and this stops student offers.
Tax receipts for commission are stored for you, online, in our admin system. You can email these to yourself at any time using our software.
What do I need to apply?
You must have a driving licence and access to your own transport (or willing and able to travel by alternative means such as cycle or public transport).
You must have music qualifications or relevant experience in your subject area - these will be assessed on application.
You must be able to demonstrate DBS (CRB) clearance or be willing to obtain it (support given with this if needed).
You must have excellent punctuality, reliability and time management. This includes being able to communicate quickly over bookings and with students. The teachers that respond quickly to booking leads are the ones that fill up with work most quickly.
You must be passionate about the Primavolta brand - make sure to take a good look around the website to find out about what we do. We want all our teachers to be involved in the Primavolta schemes and initiatives we have set up.
You must be friendly and happy to work with a wide range of people and abilities.
You should have some experience of teaching. Support is given by senior teachers within the school with all elements of being a music teacher, but experience is preferable.
You must be willing to deal with bookings in a timely manner whenever they come in. Remember that this is a private school and students should be dealt with quickly and efficiently. Other teachers are likely to gain students over you if you do not respond quickly to assure student enquiries are dealt with quickly.
You must understand that we are unlikely to be able to provide full time teaching unless you have been with us some time. Work comes in to us in different quantities, at different times and can vary from instrument to instrument and area to area. It is important to realise you are likely to need other revenue streams. We are more than happy for you to fit work around other jobs and fully expect you to do so.
